Roon Labs recently announced that their minimum system requirements will be changing on April 20, 2026.

To be clear, these new requirements apply specifically to Small Green Computer’s sonicTransporter Music Servers. They do not affect the Sonore Rendu Series Music Players.

Great news for Small Green Computer customers:

The Sonicorbiter Operating System (OS) V2.9 — used on all current Small Green Computer products — far exceeds Roon’s new requirements. Even our older Sonicorbiter OS V2.8 (which reached end-of-life three years ago) still meets the updated standards.
