I've been up and running for four days now. Pretty simple to set up. The sound is incredible beyond belief. Even my wife agrees. I have never had digital sound like this before. This gear obliterates the old Sooloos system. LPs are great and I love them too but they are a pain. I am loving the whole streaming thing. First time I ever tried streaming. I have not as yet loaded any music to the internal storage on the music server yet but I will soon. I am mainly listening to QoBuz through Roon so far. The Berkely Alpha USB works so well. My microRendu with linear power supply was delivered this morning and installed within minutes. The set up was easy as pie and went along without any issues what so ever.
I am using the microRendu as a Roon endpoint feeding via USB a Sonoma Model One headphone system. The sound is bit perfect digital!
I have been looking for a cost effective Roon endpoint with USB output that I can recommend to my friends and relatives who are interested in getting into the world of high end streaming (as opposed to simple Bluetooth streaming) and I now know that the microRendu fits the bill. Ralph P.
