Streamers
A network audio streamer sits between your home network and your DAC. It takes music from Roon, Audirvāna, HQPlayer or your streaming service and sends a clean USB signal to your DAC, with no noisy computer in your listening room. Every streamer we sell is built by Sonore, runs Sonicorbiter OS, sets up from any web browser, and is backed by our free lifetime US-based support.
Which network streamer is right for you?
- ultraRendu Plus — from $899. Copper Ethernet. The simplest way to stream to your USB DAC from Roon, Audirvāna and more.
- opticalRendu Deluxe — from $1,749. Fiber optic Ethernet. Isolates your DAC from network noise.
- Signature Rendu SE Deluxe — from $5,350. Fiber optic Ethernet with a built-in linear power supply. Sonore's reference streamer for no-compromise systems.
Roon Ready streamers that work with Audirvāna, HQPlayer and more
All three streamers are Roon Ready endpoints, so they show up in Roon automatically and play at full resolution. They work just as well with Audirvāna and other DLNA/UPnP players, as an HQPlayer network audio adapter (NAA), and with Squeezelite. They play native PCM up to 768 kHz and DSD up to DSD512, depending on your DAC.
Fiber optic streaming: the cleanest path to your DAC
Copper Ethernet carries electrical noise from routers, switches and computers along with your music. The opticalRendu Deluxe and Signature Rendu SE Deluxe take a fiber optic network connection instead, so there is no electrical path between your network and your audio system. No fiber port on your network? Add a systemOptique Certified SFP module and fiber cable, or a switch with an SFP port — see Network, Power & Accessories.
Network streamer FAQ
What is a network audio streamer?
Also called a network audio player or network endpoint, it's a small, dedicated device that receives music over your network and sends it to your DAC over USB. It replaces the laptop or PC in your audio system.
Do I also need a music server?
A streamer plays your music; a server stores and manages it. If you use Roon or Audirvāna, you need a computer or dedicated server to run it. Our sonicTransporter music servers are built for exactly that.
Do I need a linear power supply?
The ultraRendu Plus and opticalRendu Deluxe run from an external 6–9V supply. For the lowest noise we strongly recommend our SGC 7V Linear Power Supply. The Signature Rendu SE Deluxe has a linear supply built in.
Can I stream TIDAL and Qobuz?
Yes, you can stream both TIDAL and Qobuz directly to a Sonore Rendu series streamer using native streaming apps, Roon, Audirvāna, or DLNA/UPnP controllers.
Not sure which to choose?
Every streamer comes with a 30-day return policy and free lifetime US-based technical support. Talk to a real person before you buy. We're happy to help you pick the right streamer for your DAC and network.
