All three sonicTransporter servers are fanless, run the same audio-optimized operating system, and come with Roon Server pre-installed. They differ in processing power, physical format, and how many rooms they can feed directly.

Have a CD collection? Any sonicTransporter works with the External CD Ripper. Insert a disc and the server rips, tags, and files it in FLAC on its own — no computer involved.

Unless you are using the WhirlWind's four built-in zones and DACs, you will also want a network player — a small endpoint that sits beside your DAC and receives music over the network. The ultraRendu Plus is where most people start; the opticalRendu Deluxe adds full fiber isolation, and the Signature Rendu SE Deluxe is the reference option.
